New Braunfels Police on Sunday arrested a 24-year-old Kyle man, after officers observed him driving erratically in the 1500 block of IH-35.

Residents from Oak Run and other neighborhoods near the proposed Veramendi School Sector Plan at the end of Oak Run Parkway, came out in force to continue their fight for an alternative to allowing construction traffic on that neighborhood’s main road.

You might say Comal County students snapped the competition recently, at Spring Branch Middle School’s FIRST LEGO League qualifying event. Twenty-four teams from Comal ISD, with other San Antonio-area districts, competed for eight coveted spots to participate in the March 12th, Alamo Regional Championships in San Antonio. FIRST (For Inspiration of Science and Technology) LEGO League’s goal is to have tomorrow’s innovators practicing imaginative thinking and teamwork. Apparently CISD’s LEGO stars have that, in spades.  All eight teams that advanced to regionals were from Comal ISD schools.  

It’s not too late for Comal County residents to get their flu shots, either from their doctors or from the county’s Public Health Office. That message, from Comal County Public Health Director, Gwen Mills.  

The New Braunfels Police Department is using the fifth anniversary of Joshua Davis Jr.’s disappearance, to ask witnesses to come forward with the truth about what happened when the toddler disappeared.  KGNB speaks with NBPD Communications Coordinator, David Ferguson. 

The City of New Braunfels Municipal Court will be conducting another “mini” warrant roundup during the month of February. The focus of the roundup will be defendants with class C misdemeanor warrants issued by the New Braunfels Municipal Court.

The City and County join forces this weekend to host a household hazardous waste collection.  The event is Saturday, from 8am. to 12pm., at 359 Landa St.-which is the future site of the City's Recreation Center.  Participants must bring a picture I.D. with current address to verify residency.
