The City of New Braunfels Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Foundation board of directors, recently received a donation of $10,000 from the Carmage and Martha Ann Walls Foundation.

On Saturday, at 10:30pm, New Braunfels Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of North Walnut, near the Loop, for a call of an intoxicated female- passed out by her car. Police were also advised there was a child inside the car.

A Converse teenager on a float trip drowned yesterday on the Guadalupe River. New Braunfels Police state the 17-year-old male had been floating the river, when he fell out of his tube, briefly struggled to stay afloat, and then went under the water. 

Guadalupe‑Blanco River Authority officials report that herbicide applications beginning today on the canal associated with Lake Dunlap comes with a need to raise the mean-sea-level of Lake Dunlap from 575.08msl to 576msl.

The San Marcos Police Department is warning residents of a Craigslist scammer who is falsely claiming to be a rental property agent and making off with people’s money. 

Seguin Police report they were called to E. Cedar St. in Seguin Saturday afternoon, for what soon became a homicide investigation. Officials advise several nearby residents at the scene told officers they heard gun shots in the area the previous night.
