Comal County Sheriff’s Office officials report the victim that was discovered in the house fire in the 700 block of Forest Trail has been positively identified as 57-year-old Gayle Hendry of New Braunfels.

Comal ISD held its first-ever Functional Fitness Games on November 15 for all its high school Physical Education students. The games were held on the famous red turf at Canyon High School’s football field. Canyon and Canyon Lake high school participated in the event.

The Comal County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into the death of an individual found Tuesday, following a structure fire. Apparently, there is a suspect in the case, and that person has been located in Mississippi.

City Council- Individual items up for consideration tonight include designating the portion of Farm-to-Market Road 306 within the City limits as the Jan Kennady Memorial Highway; approving up to $900,000 to buy less-than one  acre of property at 302 South Castell Ave. for an economic development project; and Stormwater Quality Protection ordinances.
