UPDATE: Missing Woman, Leanne Bearden, Possibly Spotted in Houston Area

(New Braunfels, TX) -- An update on the search for Leanne Bearden, the 33-year old woman that went missing from the Garden Ridge area on January 17th:
Reports have been surfacing over the last week that the missing woman had been spotted as many as 4 times in the Houston area (more specifically on roads like Kirby, Main, Richmond, and Westheimer).
But authorities say that 3 of the 4 callers that reported seeing the woman did so after the fact and were not still in the area where they believed they spotted her.
But one of the callers was literally looking right at the woman when she called police.
In the end, officers were able to identify the woman as a known homeless woman in the area, and not the missing Leanne Bearden.
Authorities say that since all 4 sightings were in the same general area, it’s possible that they are all of that same homeless woman.
But it’s also possible that those sightings are of Bearden as she seeks out medical help or shelter in that area.
So police officers in Houston (and across the state) continue to keep an eye out.
Leanne Bearden is described as a white female, 33-years old, standing 5-foot 2-inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes.
If you have any information on her whereabouts, call Comal County Crimestoppers at 830-620-TIPS.
