(New Braunfels, TX) -- A New Braunfels man wanted on a sexual assault of a child charge was tracked down by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force this week.
24-year old Jared Scott Beyer (left) was arrested on Wednesday by members of the US Marshals Service after he was tracked down to a home in the 13-hundred block of River Road here in New Braunfels.
After a brief surveillance effort to make sure Beyer was at the home, law enforcement officers from several agencies entered the residence and apprehended Beyer without incident.
The US Marshal’s Office says Beyer was allegedly involved in sexually assaulting a child under the age of 16 on multiple occasions in 2013 and a warrant for his arrest was signed by a Comal County District Court Judge earlier this month.
Comal County Jail records indicate that, following his arrest, Beyer was held at the jail overnight and then released on Thursday after he posted a 75-thousand dollar cash bond.
