(Garden Ridge, TX) -- The search for Leanne Bearden continues and now the attention is turning towards Austin.
The 33-year old woman went missing from the Garden Ridge area on January 17th and hasn’t been seen or heard from since, despite large searches for her by ground and by air, by local and state law enforcement.
Towards the end of January there were a series of reports of a woman matching Bearden’s description in the Houston area, specifically around the Kirby, Main, Richmond, and Westheimer areas.
But those reports may have been prompted by a homeless woman in the area that has similar features.
More recently, the attention has turned to the Austin area.
A private investigator says there have been multiple reports that Bearden is in Austin.
Her husband and other family members spent time at the end of last week and over the weekend passing out flyers with her picture near I-35 and Sixth Street.
Bearden is described as a white female, 33-years old, standing 5-foot 2-inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes.
If you have any information on her whereabouts, call Comal County Crimestoppers at 830-620-TIPS.
