(New Braunfels, TX) -- New Braunfels Police are looking into the death of a 1-month old girl yesterday morning, a death that by all accounts so far was accidental.
Police officials say that at around 8:40am Tuesday paramedics and police officers were called to the Braunfels House Apartments on Howard Street for reports of a 1-month old child who was not breathing and unresponsive.
New Braunfels Fire and EMS crews were on scene within minutes and immediately began CPR.
They transported the child to Christus New Braunfels Hospital where the infant was pronounced dead.
Police officials say they do not suspect foul play, but they are investigating and an autopsy has been ordered.
However, they stressed that the child’s death appears to be from an accidental injury sustained while the child was sleeping in the same bed as her parents.
