MORE,  FROM THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION:

Anthony Chalupa was born and raised in San Antonio and moved to New Braunfels when he married Megg in 1988. They started their family and had four children to whom he was a fantastic dad. His interest in computers began when he worked at Interfirst Bank, assisting one of the CEO’s of the bank after the gentleman had been issued a new computer, the first the man had ever dealt with. Anthony spent hours on it and eventually figured out the basics and instructed his boss. This self-taught experience became the training grounds to what would one day be how he would provide for his family through a successful computer consultant business specializing in network security, firewalls and office training and networking.  Anthony became a Christian in 1987 and conducted his life and business in an honest, reliable manner, knowing he was accountable to God.

“He always had a smile on his face and an encouraging word,” Megg said.

The Anthony Chalupa Memorial Scholarship Fund will award a minimum of a $250 scholarship to at least one student per year. The scholarship is open to a graduating senior from New Braunfels Christian Academy. Applications for the scholarship will be accepted online at www.nbacf.org beginning Jan. 6, 2017.
