The New Braunfels Public Library will host a seminar on hearing and provide free hearing exams on Monday, December 5th as part of the OWL (Older, Wiser, Livelier) program. OWL is a weekly program geared toward citizens aged 50 and above. Each week the library rotates through a variety of programs from games and puzzles to crafts or guest speakers. On December 5th, the guest speaker will be Lorin Gregory, from Listen Hear -Hearing Solutions. Gregory will discuss hearing loss and how it affects your daily life. A free, hearing screening is available following the presentation. Adult Services Librarian Toni Davenport explains, “We hope to help the public understand hearing loss and have an opportunity to detect any hearing issues they may have.” This program is free, no registration is necessary and it is made possible with the support of The Friends of the New Braunfels Public Library. For more information about the program, call the library at 830-221-4300.
