Flash Flood Watch In Effect Through Monday For Comal Area

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch for our area until 6AM on Monday, December 5th. Monitor local media for current and forecast conditions. A brief lull in heavy rainfall expected this afternoon thru mid - evening; however, another round of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected across South Central Texas beginning late this evening, through tonight.
DUE TO SATURATED SOILS AND ADDITIONAL MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT BEGINNING 10 PM SATURDAY FROM HONDO AND MEDINA COUNTIES EASTWARD THROUGH THE SAN ANTONIO METRO AREA AND INTO THE HIGHWAY 77 CORRIDOR. Sunday through Friday, another round of moderate to heavy rainfall is expected Sunday evening into early Monday morning. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH WILL CONTINUE FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS DUE TO SATURATED SOILS AND EXPECTED MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL. RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH EARLY MONDAY MORNING ARE EXPECTED TO AVERAGE 1-2 INCHES WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS NEAR 4 INCHES.
