Christmas Tree Drop-Off and Mulch Pick-Up Event


New Braunfels, TX – The City of New Braunfels Solid Waste and Recycling Division is hosting a Christmas tree drop-off and free Christmas tree mulch pick-up event for New Braunfels residents.  Bring natural Christmas trees from Tuesday, December 27, 2016 through Saturday, January 14, 2017 to be made into mulch at the City Recycle Center.  The Center is located at 488 S. Castell Avenue and drop-off is available during normal operating hours: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. 

            The City Recycle Center will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2017, as it is closed on all Mondays.  Artificial trees, flocked trees (fake snow), or any decorations, such as lights, garland, tinsel, stands, or ornaments will not be accepted.

The tree mulch will be available for pickup beginning Tuesday, January 3rd through Saturday, January 14th, at the City Recycle Center during normal operating hours.  Christmas tree mulch is for New Braunfels residents and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Mulch pick-up will be self-load; residents will need to provide their own shovels and containers.
