River Properties Vision Plan Public Input Meeting
Published on Jan 17, 2017 / Local News
The Parks and Recreation Department invites the public to share input regarding the River Properties Vision Plan. The community meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18th at 6:30 p.m. at Landa Haus, located at 360 Aquatic Circle in Landa Park.
“The meeting will be an open house set-up, allowing attendees to provide feedback relating to the proposed vision plan in a casual setting,” said Stacey Dicke, Parks and Recreation Director. “Residents are encouraged to attend and comment on the draft plan. All input received will assist the design team in developing the final vision plan.”
Representatives from the design team Freese and Nichols, and City staff, will be available during the meeting to answer questions and discuss the project.
In June, City Council approved a contract with Freese and Nichols for the development of a Master Plan for city owned property along the Guadalupe River near River Acres Park. The Parks and Recreation Department has maintained the property as a greenbelt and would now like to develop a strategy for future use based on public input.
