The New Braunfels ISD is Accepting Applications

NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – The New Braunfels ISD is accepting applications for a place on the ballot for the upcoming Board of Trustee election in May. The positions that will be considered on the May 6th ballot include positions for single-member District 2 and District 4.
The District 2 position is held by Rigo Montero and the District 4 position is held by Joe Hassmann. The last day to file is Feb. 17, 2017, at 5 p.m.
The NBISD Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members that include five single-member districts and two at-large positions. In order to qualify to file, applicants must live in the single-member district boundary, be a registered voter, and have been a resident of NBISD for the past six months and the state for twelve months. The at-large positions are open to any resident of NBISD that meet the above-named qualifications. Each position will serve a three-year term beginning in May.
A map of the single-member districts is available online at http://www.nbisd.org/page/brd.map. Interested candidates are also encouraged to reference their voter registration card to verify which NBISD single-member district they reside within.
