Schertz, TX - On January 20, 2017, at approximately 2:03pm, Schertz Police Department was notified via a 911 call that the Schertz Bank and Trust located at 16852 IH 35 North had been a victim of a robbery. The suspect was described as a heavy set black male in his late 20’s, bald with a full beard, wearing a yellow shirt, a dark blue hoodie with blue jeans. The suspect reportedly got into the driver side of a white small compact car that was parked outside the bank and fled the parking lot. The suspect did give the teller a note demanding large bills but no weapon was displayed.
No injuries were reported. The amount of money taken has not yet been determined.
