New Braunfels, Texas — The City of New Braunfels is seeking input regarding the previous City Hall Site (Municipal Building) Redevelopment Master Plan. A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 8th, at 6:00 p.m., at the New Braunfels Public Library, located at 700 E. Common Street. The meeting will be facilitated by the City’s Master Plan consultants, Douglas Architects.
This meeting is the third public input meeting for the project. At previous meetings, attendees provided feedback to the consultant team on various aspects of the site’s design. During the upcoming meeting, Douglas Architects will present the findings from those previous meetings, a market analysis and gather additional input on the continuing planning effort. Residents, property owners and business owners are encouraged to attend and share input on the proposed previous City Hall Site Redevelopment Master Plan.
The City has identified the former City Hall site (and surrounding City-owned property) as a target for focused redevelopment. The Master Plan project, funded by the City’s Industrial Development Corporation (4B), will guide improvements in the area to ensure that future development at that location meets the needs of the community.
