Spring Forward

Daylight Saving Time goes into effect Sunday, March 12, which means much of the nation will be springing forward.  Be sure to set your clocks ahead one hour before going to bed Saturday night.  The change in time often means waking up sleep deprived and can be a tough adjustment for busy schedules. Every year questions arise as how to best adjust to one less hour when busy lives do not slow down.

When trying to get an energized start to Daylight Saving Time think:

-              Plan ahead: Go to bed half an hour earlier; consider a healthy meal the evening before and avoid the booze

-              Resist sleeping in; it will throw off your body clock... Instead have a cup of coffee and use that time to get outside. Vitamin D is the best way to beat feeling tired, jetlagged & lethargic. It also will jumpstart your metabolism and productivity for the day.
