Comal River Open for Recreation
Published on Mar 14, 2017 / Local News
The Comal River in New Braunfels will reopen for all recreation, including tubing. As of this release, the Comal River flow is at approximately 440cfs, which is considered perfect tubing conditions. City of New Braunfels crews have cleared out debris (like tree limbs and branches) following recent heavy rains. The clarity of the water on the Comal River has also returned, but river-goers should still be cautious about debris that may not be visible under the water’s surface. And, as always, NBPD encourages the use of life vests when doing any water-related activity.
