The New Braunfels Public Library will hold its Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, June 4th; marking the beginning of an exciting two-month summer reading program for library patrons of all ages.

The Texas Comptroller’s Office has awarded Comal County a Transparency Star for online financial reporting, the first such award given to a county in 2016.

Due to significant rainfall and runoff in the upper Guadalupe River basin (upstream from Canyon Lake Dam), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be maximizing their release of water from the Canyon Lake flood pool. Expected to be at 5,000 CFS today.

Numerous rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected into our area today, some may produce heavy rain. With grounds already saturated from heavy rains, even small amounts of rainfall could result in flash flooding.

Austin has seen six inches of rain in just the past few hours. If you're traveling to South Austin, check the roads before you head out.

Kyle Biedermann wins the primary runoff election for District 73 State Representative. Mark Reynolds wins the primary runoff election for  Comal County Sheriff. 


Early voting numbers have Mark Reynolds ahead of Brent Paullus with 5050 to 2290 votes in Sheriff race. Kyle Biedermann leads early voting with 4234 votes to Doug Miller's 3312 for State Representative.
