There is a new fixture sitting proudly on the grounds of the New Braunfels Police Department; a thanks of sorts from a young New Braunfels Boy Scout, on his way to becoming an Eagle.

The fifth annual Texas Fruit Conference is coming to New Braunfels, October 31st and November 1st -bringing together commercial and recreational fruit growers from across the state to discuss the challenges and successes of Texas fruit growing.

 Family members of Henry Gutierrez continue their fight for answers in the murder of Henry Gutierrez. To aid in that effort, Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers, with the help of anonymous donors, is now offering up to a $30,000 monetary reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.

An autopsy of 34-year-old Christopher Robert Lowe, found Thursday afternoon at the Saint Joseph cemetery, revealed the New Braunfels man died of multiple stab wounds and blunt-force-trauma to his body.

New Braunfels City Council will hold a special meeting tonight at 6pm in City Hall. 

Canadian General Tower — or CGT —will hold a job fair from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. today, in the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, Honors Hall.

The SA Corral Club brings Ranch Rodeo to the Comal County fairgrounds this Saturday. Gates open at 5pm., and the Ranch Rodeo begins at 6.

FM 725, south of Southbank Boulevard will close tonight, August 24th, at 7pm. to replace a damaged culvert.  (Flashing message boards have been advertising the closure all week.) The road is scheduled to reopen by 7am. tomorrow, August 25th.
