Smithson Valley High football coach, Larry Hill is now a proud member of the Texas High School Coaches Association’s Hall of Honor. On Saturday, at 10:30pm, New Braunfels Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of North Walnut, near the Loop, for a call of an intoxicated female- passed out by her car. Police were also advised there was a child inside the car.
A Converse teenager on a float trip drowned yesterday on the Guadalupe River. New Braunfels Police state the 17-year-old male had been floating the river, when he fell out of his tube, briefly struggled to stay afloat, and then went under the water.
