(New Braunfels, TX)--New Braunfels Police and EMS were dispatched to the corner of Walnut Avenue and Northpark Ridge (near County Line Road) on Friday, for reports of a vehicle crashing into a home there. Police officials report they arrived to find a female driver had smashed a Toyota Tundra truck, which weighs from four to five thousand pounds, through a fence, upturning a children’s play-set, and through the brick-exterior home, ending up in the home’s living room. Fortunately, no one was home at the time of the accident. EMS evaluated the driver for possible injuries sustained in the crash, while police officers noted the driver was showing possible signs of intoxication. After being medically cleared at the hospital, Police officials say the driver failed sobriety tests and refused to give a blood sample, so she was arrested and taken to the Comal County jail. There, she was booked and processed until a blood search warrant could be obtained. She was then taken back to Christus Santa Rosa and served with that blood search warrant and taken back to the Comal County Jail where officials report Sunee Marie Schreiwer was charged with DWI, 2nd offense.
