Veteran's Day Honor Flight to take 15 WWII, Korean and Vietnam War veterans to Washington D.C.

AUSTIN, Texas – On Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, Honor Flight Austin will depart Austin-Bergstrom International Airport for a special flight to Washington D.C.
The flight will transport 15 Austin-area World War II, Korean and Vietnam War veterans to the nation's capital to visit and experience the memorials built in their honor. This is the 49th Austin Honor Flight to date, and the ninth this year.
The veterans will arrive in ticketing at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) around 10 a.m. The veterans, guardians and staff will assemble for a procession, from Gate 5 to Gate 12 around 11:30 a.m. The procession will be led by the TSA Honor Guard and Austin Police Department Bag Pipes.
Honor Flight Austin is a non-profit organization created to honor veterans by transporting them to visit and reflect at their war memorials. Honor Flight Austin serves veterans residing within Bastrop, Bell, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Gillespie, Gonzales, Hays, Lee, Llano, Milam, Travis and Williamson Counties.
