Today’s Tell Me Something Good Tuesday is about the new Doggy Day Out program!

The Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area has a new program called “Doggy Day Out” where community member can take shelters dogs out for some fun around town.

Volunteers can take the dogs to the river, get “pup cups” or explore parks. This allows for staff to gather information about the dogs that they can’t at the shelter.

The shelter dogs benefit from the exposure outside and socialization.

Last week’s Pet of the Week, Rajah, was able to have his own day out! The shelter learned that Rajah is gentle, loves walks, and offers people his paw all the time!

Anyone who wants to volunteer can stop by the shelter and fill out a few forms!
