New Braunfels firefighters.

Last month, the NBFD sent three firefighters to help with the California wildfires.

Thanks to the school counselor, students at Lamar Elementary school then wrote thank-you cards to the firefighters!

The kids wrote over 350 very heartfelt letters thanking those who bravely fought in California.

The counselor says the activity was important in emphasizing being kind to one another and showing appreciation.
