Today’s Tell Me Something Good Tuesday is about the community raising money after a fire.

Mike Burrow is a musician, father and grandpa in New Braunfels. He works full time as a teachers aid for high-risk special education children.

​

You’ll often see Mike outside his son’s business, the Redbird Listening Room.

​

Mike recently lost everything in a fire. Some faulty wiring in his cabin caught on fire when he was sleeping, and Mike got out just in time.

​

The next day, friends and family set up a gofundme that has currently raised around $19,000 in just over one week.

​

After finding out about Mike’s situation, people have also been dropping off clothes and belongings at the Redbird Listening Room for Mike.
